Harry Clay Hale (b. July 10, 1861, Knoxville, Ill.-d. March 21, 1946, Palo Alto, Calif.), Major General in the U.S. Army, graduated from West Point in 1883. Daniel Bradford Devore (b. May 14, 1860, Monroe County, Ohio), Brigadier General in the U.S. Army, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1885 and later taught mathematics there. While serving on special duty with the Secretary of War, he delivered more than 500 reindeer from Norway for use in Alaska in 1897 and 1898. Wilbur Elliott Wilder (b. Aug. 16, 1856, Mich.-d. Jan. 30, 1952), Brigadier General in the U.S. Army, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1877 and served on the frontier in many Indian campaigns until 1895.
